I like digi-scrapping
but haven't done any in quite a while. First I learned how to use
Paintshop Pro (I use version X2) properly through the lovely ladies at
Stepping Stones to PSP, and now a different group of ladies at the
University of Tubing, are teaching me the correct - or accepted way -
to create good picture tubes. This is hard. Don't think it
easy. And boy, it's very easy to want to give up in the beginning
when you keep getting your work sent back to you with 'do this' or 'do
that' or 'you need to....'. But it gets easier, or at least, you get
less 'do over' requests as you go through the course.
I've also
been playing around with Daz3D and to a lesser extent, Poser. I want
to be able to make my own characters without depending on other
people's lovely art work. Plus hopefully it's keeping my brain nimble.
So
until I get the hang again of working on this sort of website template
arrangement, there won't be too much of my own stuff aside from some
tags I've done. Mostly it will be links, so shall we get started? We
shall.
Thank you to Cybrea
for the Victorian Doll image in the banner and for little Lolita above left.
This is the sort of work I
am just itching to learn how to do. The little anime girl in the
banner is all I've managed so far, combining both Daz 3D and Poser to
get that far.
It is so very complicated when you do not have time to
sit down and concentrate and learn things correctly. But at least I'm
trying and that is all that is important. The best thing about Daz3D
is that the software itself is free plus you get some stock files of
Victoria to start with.
To get the really good stuff happening, you
need to find the time to do the tutoria;s or search the web for sites
external to DAZ where people have published their own tutorials on the
use. To get the really great bargains however, you do need to join the
Platinum club.
Of course, there are other resources out there, Renderosity being one of them. And for scrapbooking there are hundreds of sites and blogs that don't necessarily require joining for freebies. Or, you can make them yourself.
